troops from Vietnam, calling that conflict and uniust war and a terrible waste of American lives and dollars. Funny he didn't regard that same war in the same light back when Lyndon Baines Johnson and before him, John F. Kennedy) were running the show. And Senator Moss is crying like a stuck pig these last few days before election about dirty tactics on Congressman Burton's part. Specifically he says his opponent has made too much over the fact that he sent a wire to the war protestors saying "Your cause is just." He also moans over the fact that Mr.

Burton accused him of being soft on crime. Sorry, Senator Moss, but as your challenger points out quite clearly, the record of your voting speaks for itself. So we'll go with Mr." young blood, and we'll pass up the opportunity to have all of that seniority in Washington. So far that seniority has been a little to rich for our blood. experience in the legislature should Bits and Pieces Most all of the little children of the valley, and some not so little, will take to the streets and sidewalks this Saturday as they go from house to house asking "Trick or Treat?" Many of the little ones in their excitement will forget the rules of looking before you cross a street and may dart across the street or corner at any moment.

It is such a joyous time for children, we as adults, must be extra careful and alert in our driving and be on the lookout for them. Mothers that drive their children to areas should make sure the child gets out of the car onto a sidewalk or on the side of the street with the houses so they do not have to cross the highway or street to get to the homes. Children wearing white are mucheasier to see as they cross a street as is the child that carries a flashlight. Lef make this a happy and fruitful Halloween and drive with extra caution and alertness for our children. The Little Football League Banquet was a great success as over 300 boys and their parents met at the 2nd annual awards banquet All the boys were presented with individual trophies and shoulder patches.

A Wasatch League official presented trophies to the 70 lb. team for Co-Champlonship, tieing for first place in the 70 lb. teams of the league. The 100 lb. team was awarded a trophy for second place winner In 100 lb.

We the family of Norm Labrum were deeply moved with the love and sincere sympathy that has been shown to us In the past while. The people of this great valley have hearts bigger than words can express. And have not only shown us their kindness with Norm's passing, but during his long illness also.

Our family has truly been shown the definition of friendship, and our hearts are so very thankful for this. There isn't a person in this valley that hasn't shown their concern in some way. These words describe the friendship shown to us during our sorrow. "Friendship Is lifes sunshine, It brightens gloomy days; payer and my ability to get the Gov ernor's ear should enhance the ser vice I can render to you. It warms the heart and makes it glad In oh, so many ways.

Yes, Friendship is lifes sunshine, The reason that we know, Is because- you friends and your friendships. Have brightened our lives sol" Thank you, to all in this valley, and may God Bless You, as he has us, by giving us friends like you. With all Sincerity, The Norm Labrum Family On Unicef Peace Dear Mr. Editor: Enclosed find documented information on the Peace Symbol which should be sufficient to settle the controversy once and for all. Also the information on UNICEF should surely create food for thought.

I do hope the people in our beloved Bear River Valley will not be taken in by the false information they get daily in the predominately liberal news media. I am a resident of the Valley away on leave of absense. Thank You. Sincerely, Mrs. Ruby Scholer Win, lose or draw it has been pleasure to visit and see you.

Pve made many new acquaintances and renewed many old ones. If Pve missed you it has been my loss. Another election comes up Tuesday and If we've learned nothing else during the campaign just ending it is that Box Elder County is greatly blessed with an abundance of outstanding candidates in both parties. We wouldn't presume to offer suggestions on the local scene about how your ballot might be marked. Quite frankly it's difficult to imagine how we'd lose no matter which of the gentlemen come out of the elections for County Commissioner, for sheriff, for school boards, and state senate races and other local and state races with a plurai'ty.

But we can't straddle the fence when it comes down to the race between Senator Moss and Congressman Burton. iVe simply have to go with Mr. Burton. Senator Moss has made quite a lot of noise during the campaign about the fact that he has a 25-1 margin over his opponent in the matter of bills passed during his tenure in the senate. True, but some of those bills he speaks of will still be costing us money when our great-great grandchildren become old enough to vote.

As one of the commercials on television points out: "If not really the senator's money that he's so free with. It's ours." Sure, it'll be a close race, and in Utah one thing in Senator Moss' favor with a lot of the voters in his authorship of the bill banning cigarette advertising as of Jan. 1. But there are those who will remember that the bill was first introduced by another Utah Senator, Wallace Bennett. Still, we'll give Sen.

Moss credit for final passage. But what else has he done lately? What has he done to support the president of the United States? Well, he's yelled long and loud for a quick with Thanks.
