What is the success rate of gear honing in Lost Ark? ›

The first one is called Tier 1 Honing Success. This research increases the success chance of ALL upgrades from 1-15 on Tier 1 gear on ALL of your alts permanently. So if you have a 50% chance to succeed, this becomes 70% chance, so on and so forth.

Honing is unlocked once you reach level 50, get to Vern, and obtain your 302 gear. It is possible to reach level 50 before getting to Vern however, you will be locked out of some content so it is best to start Vern at level 49.5 if you are not level 50 yet.

Each failed honing attempt on the same gear increase the honing rate by 10% of the base honing rate, not including rate-up materials (e.g. failing a 3% honing increases the rate to 3.3% for the next attempt, and failing again increases it to 3.6%).

Clear Chaos Gate Without Anyone Dying
